Founders
We, Preeti Gupta and Dr. Vivek Prasad, an artist couple, founded Aranya Earthcraft, a sustainable design studio where we create art objects for utility, décor, and fashion purposes. Despite our diverse academic backgrounds, our shared love and passion for art inspired this venture.
We both have a non-art academic background, but it is interesting that our non-art academic experiences have contributed significantly to enhancing both the creative and business aspects of our journey.
"The knowledge of chemistry allowed me to understand the difference between safe and harmful chemicals for nature. It allowed me to experiment with eco-friendly alternatives to create unique patterns and creating something safe for our nature. My passion for art and eco-consciousness drives me to create using waste or biodegradable materials, turning them into something meaningful." – Vivek
"Studying commerce taught me the value of economics, managing finances, and understanding market dynamics to create demand for our products. Beyond academics, real-world experience shaped my understanding of business. With a deep interest in design and creativity, I have always envisioned art as not just aesthetic but also functional serving a purpose that stands out with uniqueness." – Preeti
At Aranya Earthcraft, we reimagine papier-mâché art in a contemporary style and a wide range of applications. From home décor and everyday utility items to statement art pieces, fashion accessories, and furniture, our creations offer a fresh perspective on this traditional art form. As this craft slowly fades into obscurity, we are dedicated to breathing new life into it by creating modern and contemporary designs for home décor, everyday utility items, statement art pieces, fashion accessories, and furniture—all made from this age-old material.
Our vision is to reimagine the classics for the contemporary era—seamlessly blending the timeless traditions of sustainability with modern elegance.
